mood: shipping-fast
From a hand-drawn door sheet to a cut plan, an estimate, and an app on the phone, in a single day.
Biggest day on the gasket build yet. Shipped the work-order and cut-planner loop, the estimate-and-invoice spine, brought the first real field sheets into the system, and got the mobile app running as a release build on an actual phone.
Shipped
- Work orders + live cut plan — generate the cut list, mark fabricated, draw stock down
- Shop-unit inputs — measure in fractions (¾, ⅝), not decimals
- Job timeline — full history with a per-kitchen drill-in
- Estimate + invoice spine — estimate lines seed from the doors that actually need gaskets
- Pipeline gauge — visual job stage with quote and invoice panels
- First real field sheets ingested — paper jobs into the database
- Mobile app on a real phone — running as a release build, verified on-device
- Books stay put — money lives in QuickBooks; the app mirrors invoices, it doesn't replace them
Notes
The test for a field tool isn't whether the demo works. It's whether a real, messy, hand-drawn job survives the round trip into software and back out as something you can cut from. Today it did.
