mood: honest
You can't build the right tool for a craft you've never done with your hands.
First day on the tools, making gaskets myself instead of watching. Rough, as expected: clean profile cuts, 45° mitered corners, heat-welding the vinyl, measure-twice discipline. It's muscle memory, and muscle memory takes reps.
Shipped
- First fabrication session — baseline set; track the improvement from here
- Build read — how hard fabrication is, is itself a signal for what the field tool must capture
Notes
Doing the work badly the first time is the price of building software that respects the work. Today was the down payment.
